We left Kotor and we went up a hill/mountain that had 25 switchhbacks, not the greatest idea. Be was about to puke. He got his first ride in the front seat which was very unfair. And then we went to Ostreg monastery. Which was on a very precarious route up the mountain. On the way up, we had a little bit of road interference. . . We ran into a bus. We had to back up 10 - 20 meters. The monastery was cool and built into the wall.
Then we drove into Bosnia. Me and ben watched 10 movies on the iPad.
Now I'm falling asleep in my pasta Aka "doing an Emmett" so we will have to continue tomorrow...
Sarah . . . I miss you so much that I would even "play house" with you and Grandma. Actually, I've been playing with Jemma, but she insists I play the little girl and that's just not manly. Your reference to Emmette falling asleep in his pasta brings back many fond memories . . . not of Emmette, but of me falling asleep at Grandma's tap recital. You are ahead of your time in enjoying a good nap.
ReplyDeleteIn the immortal words of that great Croatian philosopher, Murray Shastakovitch . . . "A good nap beats a boring conversation evey time."
OK, Here are my questions: What are "switchbacks"? I'm guessing it means that you go up and then back down and the up again and so on. Is that correct? If that is correct, I totally understand Ben's being a bit uncomfortable. You really didn't "run into a bus", did you? I'm guessing, you just couldn't pass it, or something like that. And how do you know what a meter is? I do remember when you first used the word "precarious". I think you were about 3 yrs old., and now you continue to use that word in perfectly splendid sentences. :) You and Ben seem to have grown up by years --- not weeks. Will we recognize you when you return? Can't wait to give you real hugs. I love you soooo much and miss you soooo much.
