Do you know where I could get sea sick meds. Because, well I might as well start from the beginning. The day started early. Because we had to get on a boat. The boat was for something watching, whale watching!!! It was pretty amazing we got to see lots of whales. The whales got so close to us we could almost touch them. Lets just say the fishy's got to have eggs for breakfast (the bad part is, is that Ben got to feed the fishy's with his breakfast). I felt a little sick but I was not bad. Then we went for lunch at the Ocean Basket. We went on another boat to see hippopotamus, croc and a leopard. The hippopotamus was very fat/big. The leopard and croc was amazing!! Then I came back ate dinner and me and my guest blogger sat down and are writing to you here is a little something from my guest blogger:

Seem to have lost the message that I sent!! Just to say that I hope you felt sorry for your brother. It is awful to get sea sick! Must come from Papa's side of the family because I have never had that reaction luckily!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your blog, Georgie. Loved hearing from you as well. Keep it coming.

So sorry you haven't heard from me for a few days...Grandpa and I have spent the last five days with old friends from High School. We spent time talking about old memories and making new memories at all the festivities surrounding our 50th High School Reunion weekend. 50 years since we graduated High School!!!!! Isn't that amazing???? We had quite a wonderful time, and believe it or not, Grandpa stayed up very late last night. WE didn't leave the party until after 12:30 AM. I think it might be a record for him. Right now we are both very tired, but I wanted to get off a reply to you before I collapsed into bed. First of all, MEISIE (cute name) it sounds as if your adventures get better and better and better. (By the way, what are all the other South African names? ) It's so cool that you are seeing all kinds of things ---- animals and dung and such.... The zulu village sounded like great fun. If you remember any of their dance steps you can show me what it looked like when you come home. I hope you are taking a lot of photos. AND today you saw whales... HOW AMAZING!!!! I have never seen them so close.... How very lucky you are. We did see hippos and crocs however.
ReplyDeleteAnd Dear Guest Blogger... It is so nice to hear from you. I must agree with you that Cape Town is indeed so much fun... And, Georgie, you helped to make it fun for me. I hope I am able to come and visit you again. Please send love to you your whole family for me.
Sarah, I miss you so much but I am so happy to learn about your fabulous adventures each and every day .... even with the bit of sea sickness mixed in.
Love to you... Love Grandma JOANIE
Dearest Sarah . . . you really need to read my comment to Ben wherein I offer some really good advice about avoiding sea sickness . . . stay off things that move. However, if you do get naucious I have a sure fire cure. Take a long swallow of a bulabong cocktail - warm beer mixed with a raw egg and virgin olive oil. Works every time. Trust me on this.
ReplyDeleteYour recent village to the Zulu village reminds me of the great queen Saharazahd who united the Zulus against the oppressive (and smelly)Pygmy Wart Hogs. The two mighty armies met in the Third Battle of the Bulging Bellies. The Zulus were at a terrible disadvantage because they were so tall that their spears kept going over the heads of the diminutive, but firece, hogs. Finally, a hungry Saharazahd rallied her troops and stomped the enemy. She is forever immortalized in hardened bird droppings holding a spear in one hand and the shrunken head of a Pygmy Wart Hog in the other. It is very dramatic. And it happened just that way. Trust me on this.
I love you!!!!
