Yesterday we made it to Utah it was a 22 hour drive. Today we are going on a hike and my finreds family and my faamily are living in a house together. My frind and me are sharing a room. I am gone for five weeks.
Sarah . . . I already missed you so much that I took myself to Bravo and ordered plain pasta with marinara on the side. Then I tried playing the game with quarters but that didn't work so well without you sitting accross from me. I couldn't even share your sunday with chocolate sauce. Do you realize just how lucky we are. You have a wonderful mother who takes you away to far off places and I have a wondeful daughter who takes you away to far off places (where I can't see you). YECH!!
Five weeks seems like a very long time... But I'm guessing it will go by in a flash for you. Are you and Nicki going to camp? Ben wrote that he begins camp next week. How about Sally.... is she signed up for camp as well?????????? Speaking of Miss Sally, how is she adjusting to all the traveling and new surroundings? Does she go on hikes with you? I am anxious to hear about the beautiful scenery and the exciting places you visit. Maybe you can draw some of the mountains and the blue blue sky. I'll bet there are a lot of beautiful colors all around you. I'll be out of touch for a few days because I have to go to Baltimore, MD. (all the way on the east coast). I'll be back on Saturday. Hopefully Grandpa will keep you well entertained and informed. Enjoy all your new adventures. We miss you so much already. Say hi to Nicki. Lots of Love, Grandma JOANIE
Sarah . . . we really need you to offer some thoughts on what's going on. Your brother (Mr. Awesome) has diarreah of the mouth so there is no shortage of things to comment on. I do appreciate the fact that unlike some people you keep quiet when you have nothing to say.
Hi my Darling Sarah. Hope you are having an awesome time - never mind Mr Awesome!! It is Taryn's birthday today and she has her ears pierced - both at the same time!!! Have not seen her yet. Missing you all. Much love XXXXXXXXX
My darling Sarah . . . since you seem to be choosing to remain silent in the face of Brother Ben's unending onslaughts on the English language, I will seek inspiration elsewhere. Granny's reference to Taryn's having her ears pierced bring's to mind the Latter Day Shlepper's practice of nose piercing. A good stout rope was then inserted in said nose, the other end being tied off to the family mule to help in the plowing of the fields of salt and fertilizer. No one ever complained of a stuffed nose. Daniel Boone Lefkowitz led a movement to outlaw the practice as being too inhumane to to the donkeys.
Why did Granny make note of the fact that Taryn had both ears pierced at the same time?
Sarah, I believe you are everyone's "darling". This is no accident...... Are you having the most fabulous time???? I've never been to Utah, but I hear it is one of our most beautiful states. I'd love to hear what you think about it all. I know your family keeps you mighty busy. The photo of the bike ride made us smile. We're so happy that you love your bike and that you are able to keep up with and perhaps surpass those active bikers in your family. How is Nicki? What are your favorite activities together? Any secret languages or anything like that? Fun fun fun! I returned from Baltimore Saturday morning where it rained almost the entire time I was out there. I know we need the rain, especially the farmers, but I personally love the sunshine. Today it's supposed to reach 100 degrees again. I think I'm the only one who loves this weather. Well, "darling Sarah", I hope you are not thinking about having any piercings - especially after Grandpa's description. We miss you lots and lots and lots. Love to your whole family.
Sarah Dear . . . I can't keep commenting on your one note. Well, I can. . . but it will seem like I'm making things up. I assume that you went with "The Great One", or "He Who Walks Upside Down" to the crater lake with the hot springs. I am reminded of the Great Diving competition in 1837. Sister Mary Elizabeth Shlepstein had managed to get into the finals as the sole representative of the Church of the Latter Day Shleppers. This was no mean accomplishment because Sister Mary weighed well over 200 lbs and was only 4'8" tall. But she was spry and determined. Her final dive was to be a backward half gainer in the tuck positon. The throngs from the Church held their collective breaths as she approached the edge of the crater. Unfortunately there wasn't much spring in the rock . . . the rest is history. But you can picture it.
Hello "everybody's 'DARLING'", Hope you haven't been locked away for the summer. Where are you? Wherever you are, I hope you're able to read all the historical "facts' that Grandpa has been researching. He hardly has time for his naps, he's studying so hard. And he seems to be shuffling more. Can you imagine?????? We miss you loads and loads and send you lots and lots and lots of love.
& its taken us almost as long but we're finally home
ReplyDeleteTks for a fabulous holiday. We miss u already
